The tragus is a small pointed piece of ear cartilage which is attached more to the side of your face more so than your actual ear. Tragus piercings are one of the most common ear piercings, next to the basic ear-lobe. They are a little pinchy, but not generally too painful or throbby to get done.^M
Sleeping on the piercing isn’t recommended while healing as it will drastically reduce your success rate, as well as increasing your chance of scarring. Headphones/ear-buds and stethoscopes also can not be used on that ear for the entire healing period.
