Industrials, also known as scaffold piercings, are a big ‘bang-for-your-buck’ piercing as they are highly visible and decorative, but are essentially just two cartilage piercings linked together. You need to be careful during healing not to knock or aggravate the piercings as they can be prone to mild scar tissue and prolonged healing. A downsize is generally required after a few months to ensure a snug fit and reduce the chance of catching. Quite often this is incorporated into the jewellery design and can be done free by simply adjusting bends.
